To provide a switch device with which a user can obtain preferred operation feeling and increased switch operability.

A switch device comprises: a rotary switch 12 provided on an upper case 2 of an instrument body 1; a rotational operation member 11 for switching the rotary switch 12 in accordance with rotational operation of the rotary switch 12; a spring member 13 for applying a load to the rotational operation member 11 when the rotational operation member 11 is rotated; and a load adjustment member 14 for adjusting the load applied to the rotational operation member 11 by using spring force generated by the spring member 13. Since the load applied to the rotational operation member 11 by the spring force of the spring member 13 can be adjusted by the load adjustment member 14, the rotational operation force for operating the rotational operation member 11 can be simply and easily changed either to heavier or lighter rotational operational force.
