Abstract:
A rail car switch unit with smaller height and smaller width. Connected to a first and a second cable head connected to different circuits, it includes: a switch having a fixed and a movable electrode which freely come into or out of contact; a first bushing conductor and a second bushing conductor electrically connected to the fixed and movable electrodes and connected to the first and second cable heads respectively; a movable conductor connected to the movable electrode; an aerial insulating operation rod disposed coaxially with the movable conductor; an adapter coupling the movable conductor and aerial insulating operation rod coaxially; an operation device virtually aligned with the switch and aerial insulating operation rod; a first support member pivotally supporting the movable conductor; a second support member pivotally supporting the adapter; and an insulating case with a ground potential, covering the switch and the first and second bushing conductors.
