To provide a switch capable of being prevented from turning on by itself when a head case separates from a main body case, and working appropriately even if its contact points are fused into joint by compulsorily separating the fused contact points.
The main body 3 of the switch includes a switching mechanism 5 having a spring-back function. The switching mechanism 5 is linked with an operating mechanism 6 by a separation forcing mechanism 20 which forces the switching mechanism 5 to move in the direction of the force of the spring- back function, so that the switching mechanism 5 is kept turned off by the force of the spring-back function when a manipulating mechanism 6 is not operated from the outside, while the switching mechanism is turned on against the force when the mechanism 6 is operated from the outside.
