To provide a switch in which insulation materials are appropriately arranged without enlarging the size of a case, an arc generated when the switch is turned off is certainly extinguished between a fixed contact and the tip of a movable contact, and resistance to thunder is further improved.
One end of an operating rod 14 is connected to the specified position of the movable contact 12 between a rotation center and a fixed electrode 11 so that the movable contact 12 is linked with the motion of a driver 13. A connection 12a of the movable contact 12 connected to the operating rod 14 is covered with a cover 15 to keep an insulation distance between the connection 12a and the fixed contact 11. This prevents an arc from transferring to the connection 12a from the tip of the fixed contact 11 even if the movable contact 12 is rotated to turn off the switch, and the position of the connection 12a is closer to the fixed contact 11 than the tip of the movable contact 12 and breaks the circuit certainly without retaining the arc.
