To obtain a switch, capable of easily selecting and changing the manner of counting of operation times between on- and off-operations, and capable of facilitating confirmation of operation.
The switch is provided with a main contact 1; an operation mechanism 2 performing switching operation of the main contact 1; an on-operation circuit 6, having a first relay contact 3, an inputting coil 4; and a first auxiliary contact 5a connected in series, and driving the operation mechanism 2 to have the main contact 1 inputted by an on-command from outside; an off-operation circuit 9, having a second relay contact 7 a tripping coil 8, and a second auxiliary contact 5b connected in series, and driving the operation mechanism 2 to have the main contact 1 shut off by an off-command from outside; and a counter 11 electrically connected with either the on-operation circuit 6 or the off-operation circuit 9 and counting the number of operations of the operation mechanism 2, in linking with the operation of the circuit connected.
