PURPOSE: To shorten a switching time, by providing a moving means which moves each end face to a prescribed position respectively prior to switching and a second driving device which cancels connection.
CONSTITUTION: To move each end face of second and third connectors 31 and 32 to be butted with the end face of a first optical connector by the moving means 57 prior to the switching, the positioning of those and faces and first and second pin pressing bars 27 and 20 are performed accurately. Therefore, by stroking the first pin pressing bar 27 by a prescribed stroke quantity by a second driving means, a fitting pin 23 is extruded from the fitting hole 31b of a second optical connector 31 neither too much nor too less, and arrives at the prescribed position. In such a way, it is possible to maintain the hot-line state of an optical line by shortening the interruption time of an optical signal at the time of switching a partial section of the optical line as far as possible.
