A switching regulator 1 includes: switching elements M1 and M2 that are turned on/off on generating an output voltage OUT from an input voltage IN; an error-signal generating circuit 34 that generates an error signal VA from a feedback voltage FB; a signal inversion circuit (35, 38a, and 38b) that generates an inverse error signal VB from the error signal VA; an oscillation circuit 31 that generates a rectangular wave signal CLK; a slope signal generating circuit 32 that generates a slope signal SLOPE from the rectangular wave signal CLK; a comparison circuit 36 that compares the error signal VA with the slope signal SLOPE and generates a comparison signal CMP1; a comparison circuit 37 that compares the inverse error signal VB and the slope signal SLOPE and generates a comparison signal CMP2; and a control circuit 51 that performs on/off control of the switching elements M1 and M2 on the basis of the comparison signals CMP1 and CMP2 and the rectangular wave signal CLK.
