Abstract:
Symmetrical cationic tetraazo compounds are new. Symmetrical cationic tetraazo compounds of formula Dye1-L-Dye1 (I) are new. Dye1 : group of formula (V); W 1heteroaromatic radical selected from formulae (IIa) - (IIc); W 2carbon-based aromatic group having of formula (III); W 3carbon-based aromatic group of formula (IV); L : 1-60C, preferably 2-40C, especially 2-20C optionally saturated, linear or branched, cyclic or non-cyclic, (hetero)aromatic or non-(hetero) aromatic, optionally substituted hydrocarbon-based chain, optionally bearing at least one cationic charge, optionally interrupted with at least one hetero atom or group comprising at least one hetero atom selected from O, N or S; R 1linear or branched, optionally saturated, aromatic or non-aromatic, optionally substituted 1-16C hydrocarbon-based chain, which can form at least one 3- - 7-membered carbon-based rings, optionally interrupted with at least one hetero atoms selected from O, N and S; R 2, R 3and R 4linear or branched, optionally saturated, aromatic or non-aromatic (optionally substituted 1-16C hydrocarbon-based chain, which can form at least one 3- - 6- membered carbon-based rings, optionally interrupted with at leat one hetero atoms or with at least one group is bearing at least one hetero atom selected from O and N); OH; 1-4C alkoxy; 2-4C (poly)hydroxyalkoxy; alkoxycarbonyl group (RO-CO-); alkylcarbonyloxy radical (RCO-O-); amino; amino substituted with at least one 1-4C alkyl, optionally bearing at least one OH (where the two alkyl radicals possibly forming, with the N atom to which they are attached, a 5- or 6-membered heterocycle optionally bearing another hetero atom from N, O or S); alkylcarbonylamino group (RCO-NR-); carbamoyl group ((R a) 2N-CO); ureido group ((R a) 2N-CO-NR'-); sulfonamide ((R a) 2N-SO 2-); alkylsulfonylamino (R aSO 2-NR'-); guanidinium ((R') 2N-C(=NH 2+>)-NR a-); nitro; cyano or halo (preferably Cl or F); R : 1-4C alkyl; R aand R' : H or 1-4C alkyl; m : 0 - 4;and e : 0 - 2. L not comprises any diazo, nitro, nitroso or peroxide groups. L may be terminated at one and the other of its ends with at least one hetero atom or group comprising at least one hetero atom, preferably O, N or S. R 1not comprising any nitro, nitroso, peroxide or diazo bonds. R 1Is directly attached to the nitrogen atom (quaternized or non-quaternized) of the heteroaromatic ring via a carbon atom. Two radicals R 2, two radicals R 3or two radicals R 4, borne by adjacent carbon atoms, can form, with the carbon atom to which each is attached, a fused ring. The bond a derived from formulae (IIa) - (IIc), (III) or IV links the groups W 1, W 2and W 3to the azo group; in the case of formulae (IIa) and (IIc), and when two radicals R 2borne by two adjacent carbon atoms form an aromatic ring, the bond a is link the group W 1to the azo group via the aromatic ring. The bond a' derived from (IV) links the group W 3to the linker L. The electrical neutrality of (I) is ensured by at least one anion. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) dye composition (C1) comprising, in a medium for dyeing keratin fibers, as direct dye, at least one (I); (2) dyeing keratin fibers involving placing (C1) in contact with the wet or dry fibers; and (3) multi-compartment device in which a first compartment contains (C1) and a second compartment contains an oxidizing composition.
