Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a strong and synchronous opening/closing device concealing all portions other than the portion exposing a handle portion, maintaining the beautiful appearance around windows, ensuring the automatic lock when the windows are closed and the automatic release of lock when the windows are opened.
SOLUTION: The right and left symmetric gear trains G are provided in a wall panel on the lowest stage of stepped windows, a cord connecting and rotating chain pulleys 3, 4 is suspended via a chain pulley 2 with a handle 1, and the handle 1 is exposed outside of the panel. Nuts 7 with screw kinematic pairs fitted to screw shafts 6 on the terminal gear side are connected to link bars 9 by stays 8, and the windows are synchronously opened or closed by the first arms 17 pivotally fitted to the link bars 9 via bell cranks 18 of the same number as the number of the windows. The second arms 11 and sliders 13 are pivotally fitted to the lower ends of the link bars 9 respectively, and they are idly inserted into rails 14 fixed on the opening vertical frame side. When the windows are opened, stoppers of the sliders 13 are engaged with hooks provided on the window side. In the initial stage when the windows are opened, the sliders 13 and the stoppers are lowered before the windows are moved, and the windows are automatically unlocked.
