Abstract:
To provide a synchronous reluctance motor that can suppress the torque ripples, and an electric steering device mounted with the synchronous reluctance motor.
The synchronous reluctance motor 19 is provided with a rotor, having shapes of two or more flux barrier bands 72a, 72b. The flux barrier bands 72a, 72b are composed of even numbers of bands, and among the even numbers of the flux barrier bands 72a, 72b, the shapes of at least a set of the flux barrier bands 72a, 72b that are in a point-symmetrical relation with each other, with the rotor rotating center 70a as a center are formed to be the same.
