PURPOSE: To facilitate color printing, by a method wherein the tips of one or more needle form bodies are brought into contact with a paper comprising a plurality of color layers formed on a sheet form member, and a desired color layer is exposed through stripping some parts of the color layers by controlling the pressed-in depth of the needle form bodies.

CONSTITUTION: The needle form body 7 is lowered by an elongation of an electrostrictive element 8 according to a voltage, and a tip part of the body 7 reaches a color layer 4b. The element 10 (not shown) is elongated in accordance with the voltage, and is moved in parallel to the surface of the paper as indicated by an arrow. As a result, the color layers corresponding to the pressed- in depth of the needle form body 7 (parts of a protective layer 5 and the color layers 4c, 4b) are stripped off, and a hole 13 is formed. When the voltage impressed on the element 8 is cut off, the body 7 is moved upward and is separated from the surface of the paper, so that the second color layer 4b is exposed at the part of the hole 13. By regulating the voltage impressed on the element 8, the color layer exposed can be changed.
