Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cooling system of a wire rod coil by which uniform cooling over the entire length of the wire rod coil is made possible stably by simple constitution and control of scale composition and scale thickness within prescribed ranges is made possible over the entire length of the wire rod coil.
SOLUTION: This system is a cooling system of the wire rod coil 1 for performing cooling by blowing a blast in the hollow region 3 of the wire rod coil 1 which is coiled after hot rolling and provided with a cooling cover 2 which is arranged on a opposite side of the side where the blast is blown to the wire rod coil 1 and a blast guide 4 which is arranged in the hollow region 3 of the wire rod coil and with which the blast is guided to the approximately middle part of the wire rod coil.
