Abstract:

To identify an especially metallic object such as a gas cylinder without contacting.

First, the electronic label 4 is provided, and secondly, a label reader 20 is provided. The label 4 is provided with foil composed of the material of high magnetic permeability and low coercive force and the foil is abutted to an antenna and arranged parallelly to it and constitutes a device for centralizing magnetic fluxes and a shield. The reader is provided with bars 23 and 24, coils 28 and 29 for generating a magnetic field are wound to the bars, and at the time of arranging the reader near the label, the magnetic flux of the magnetic field generated by the coils is passed through the label and constitutes a loop. In the case that an object to attach the label is provided with a cup 3 for protection, plates 61 and 62 composed of the material similar to the foil are arranged between the cup for the protection and the bars.
