A location information extraction system 600 is configured to extract point data including location information for a user, information of a time at which the location information was obtained, and a user identifier, which are required for providing moving locus information of the user. The location information extraction system includes: an object extraction unit 601 for extracting the point data for each user; a locus decision unit 604 for reading a plurality of time-sequential point data items based on the time information from among the extracted point data for each user and determining whether positions indicated by the time-sequential point data are along with the same straight line; and a data extraction storage unit 605 for thinning at least partially intermediate data, excluding first point data and final point data, from the time-sequential point data determined as being along with the same straight line.
