To provide a system and a method for supporting a person in need of nursing care in which a nursing provider system and an emergency system are connected and support a person in need of nursing care.

The nursing provider system 1 registers information about person at home in need of nursing care to whom a service is provided in a person in need of nursing care database 12. The emergency system 2 refers to the database 12 through a network 4 and stores emergency preventive information used of emergency prevention in an emergency preventive database 22. The system 1 observers the person in need of nursing care through a terminal device 3 installed in the house of the person in need of nursing care, and when observation results are abnormal, the system 1 transmits a call to the person in need of nursing care through the terminal device 3 and also requests the system 2 for an emergency dispatch. The system 2 extracts emergency predictive information about the person in need of nursing care from the database 22 and transmits the emergency predictive information to a dispatched ambulance crew. The ambulance crew performs initial processing on the basis of the transmitted information and carries the person in need of nursing care to an accommodation destination.
