Abstract:
To prevent business efficiency of a clerk from being reduced.SOLUTION: A commodity sales data processing system includes a registration device and a settlement device. The registration device performs registration processing for a commodity by an operation of a clerk. The settlement device is connected to a change machine including a first storage unit for storing currency and a second storage unit that can store the currency stored in the first storage unit. When an amount of the currency stored in the first storage unit becomes a predetermined amount or more, the settlement device can enter an idle state where the settlement processing is not possible from a normal state where the settlement processing is possible. When the settlement device enters the idle state, the registration device prohibits registration data for the commodity registered in the registration processing from being transmitted to the settlement device.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8
