Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system for preventing a rotator from bursting due to development of a crack suitably employed in rotary fatigue test. SOLUTION: The burst preventive system comprises a crack sensor being applied to a position of a rotator 1 where a crack is developed and broken upon occurrence of a crack to interrupt conduction of electricity, a bridge circuit being built in the crack sensor to vary the output upon breakage of the crack sensor, a driver 3 for turning the rotator 1, a transmitter 4 fixed to the turning part of the rotary driver 3 and transmitting the output from the bridge circuit, a receiver 6 for receiving the transmission signal from the transmitter 4, and controllers 7, 8 and 9 for stopping the rotary driver 3 upon detecting variation in the output from the bridge circuit, based on a transmission signal received by the receiver 6.
