To provide an illumination device capable of easily attaching/detaching and turning a shade in a simple and low-cost structure.
For the table lamp equipped with a lighting tool L consisting of a head part 3 having a socket 13, a fluorescent lamp 14 as a light source to be fitted to the socket 13, and a shade 5 covering the fluorescent lamp 14, the head part 3 has formed a first and a second slide rest parts 15, 16 of nearly a circular arc shape, and a first and a second claw parts 23, 25 as protruded parts to be engaged with the sliding rest parts 15, 16 in free sliding movement are provided at the shade 5, with the sliding rest parts 15, 16 arrayed almost in parallel, and protruding directions of the claw parts 23, 25 contrary to each other. Thereby, with the slide rest parts 15, 16 engaged with the claw parts, respectively, the shade 5 can be easily mounted on the head part 3 in free turning, and can easily removed from the head part 3 only by releasing engagement of the slide rest parts 15, 16 with the respective protruded parts 23, 25.
