This tablet tea is characterized by containing 200 mesh sieve- passed pulverized tea powder as a main component and further containing at least one kind of a flavor component, a pigment component, a nutritive component and a functional component, and the method for producing the tablet tea is characterized by press-molding the 200 mesh sieve-passed pulverized tea powder obtained by pulverizing dried tea leaves into the tablet.
