To provide a tandem type rotary electric machine for vehicle which is small and lightweight with a simple configuration.
A slip ring power feeding mechanism has a pair of a brush 200 and a slip ring 201 contacting the brush 200, and a pair of a brush 203 and a slip ring 202 contacting the brush 202. Reference numeral 204 denotes a transistor for intermittently controlling a magnetizing current of a magnetic field coil 22, 205 denotes a transistor for intermittently controlling a magnetizing current of a magnetic field coil 32, 206 denotes an emitter follower transistor for amplifying a base current of the transistor 204, 207 denotes an emitter follower transistor for amplifying a base current of the transistor 205, and D denotes a flywheel diode which is fixed on a rotor core side and rotates with the rotor core. Reference numeral 208 denotes a demultiplexer for signal distribution which is mounted on the rotor side, and receives a command signal from a regulator from a housing side. With this configuration, the slip ring mechanism whose maintenance is troublesome can be simplified, and the constitution of the device can be reduced.
