To provide a tapered roller bearing easy to be manufactured and having a large load capacity and a long service life.
This tapered roller bearing is structured of an inner ring 1 having a tapered raceway surface 1a in the outer periphery thereof, an outer ring 2 having a tapered raceway surface 2a in the inner periphery thereof, a plurality of tapered rollers 3 interposed between the inner ring and the outer ring, and a holder 4 made of solid grease for holding the plurality of tapered rollers 3 with an equal interval in the circumferential direction. A large end side of the periphery of the inner ring 1 is formed with an annular flange 1b. A large end side of the holder 4 made of solid grease is formed with a flange 4d possible to be engaged with the flange 1b of the inner ring 1. The flange 4d of the holder 4 made of solid grease is engaged with the flange 1b of the inner ring 1 to prevent separation of the holder 4 from the inner ring 1 and to prevent a fall of the tapered rollers 3 from the inner ring. A conventional small flange of the inner ring 1 is eliminated, and the length of the tapered roller 3 is increased by just that much.
