Title:
TAR REMOVING MECHANISM FOR PNEUMATIC NAIL DRIVER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3444342
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nail driver in which tar in a nose portion can be removed during a nail driving operation.
SOLUTION: A pneumatic nail driver is arranged such that a driver 4 as well as a striking piston 3 is driven by high pressure compressed air supplied into a striking cylinder and that a nail 8 supplied into a nose portion 6 is driven out by this driver 4. The outside diameter of a base 4b of the driver 4 which fits in a driver guide hole 5 when the driver 4 arrives at a bottom dead center is made to be substantially equal to the inside diameter of the driver guide hole 5, and the outside diameter of a distal end 4a is formed smaller than the inside diameter of the outside diameter of the nose portion 6, whereby the driver 4 is guided loosely by the driver guide hole 5 in such a manner that the driver swings during a striking operation and the distal end 4a of the driver so swinging wipes off tar adhering to the inner wall of the nose portion 6.
