Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain tarpaulin consisting of a fibrous base material covered by an ethylene copolymer with long persistent and highly efficient charge proofness, superior high-frequency fusing and printing properties as a useful tarpaulin for a water-proof sheet or a flexible container.
SOLUTION: This tarpaulin is composed of a fibrous base material covered with ester hydroxy stearate of glycerin (A), fatty acid ester of sorbitan (B) and a component selected from a condensation product of fatty acid and diethanol amine and fatty acid ester of polyglycerin (C). The blending ratio of the total amount of (A), (B), (C) is 1-3 pts.wt for 100 pts.wt. of an ethylene- unsaturated ester copolymer, and the weight ratio of [(A)+(B)]/(C) should preferably be 2/8-9/2, and the weight ratio of (A)/(B) be 2/8-8/2.
