To obtain a thermoplastically processable composition for thermoplastic molding, complete in biodegradation, useful as a molding, a film, a fiber, a coating material, etc., friendly to an environment, comprising a specific polyester amide and a cellulose derivative.
This composition comprises (A) a completely biodegradable polyester amide [e.g. a polyester amide comprising (U) an ester component obtained from butanediol and adipic acid or an ester component obtained from -caprolactone and (V) an amide component obtained from hexamethylenediamine and adipic acid or an amide component obtained from -caprolactam in the ratio of the component U to the total of the components U and V of ≥30wt.%], (B) a thermoplastically processable cellulose derivative such as a cellulose ether ester (B1) and optionally (C) a plasticizer suitable for the component B. Preferably the composition contains 0.1-95wt.% of the component B1 and 0.1-40wt.% of the component C.
