Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the operability of a telephone system when the opposite party of calling is intuitively identified and the calling is carried out by means of a portrait approximate to the image of the opposite party by selecting and composing the portrait elements one by one out of those image data on the portrait elements divided from a portrait to produce a portrait image and then storing the portrait image, the called telephone number and the opposite party name with correspondence secured among them.
SOLUTION: A portrait image composing part 3 composes a portrait based on such elements as the hair, eyes, outline of a face, etc., included in the image data on the portrait elements stored in a portrait element image data storage part 7B. The composed portrait is shown on an image display device 6. When the portrait is completed, the name, telephone number and portrait element numbers are stored in a storage table 7A in the form of a single memory dial table. In a retrieval mode, the memory dial table is read out of the table 7A and a portrait image is produced at the part 3 based on those portrait element numbers. Then the portrait image is shown on the device 6 together with its name and telephone number, and the shown telephone number is called with push of an originating key.
