Abstract:
PURPOSE:To issue an alarm to a viewer without a malfunction, and to prevent the fatigue of eyes by detecting a distance between a television receiver and the viewer, and controlling the operating state of the receiver through a time interval circuit. CONSTITUTION:An ultrasonic wave emitted from a transmission means 1 is reflected on a viewer 2, and a reflection signal is received at a reception means 3. Output signals from a reception means 3 and the transmission means 1 are supplied to a detection means 4, and an AND between both signals is taken, and a signal ontained from a result is supplied to a time interval circuit means 5. The time interval circuit means 5 performs a trigger multivibrator operation, and an integration means 6 integrates the output pulse of the time interval circuit means 5, and supplies the result to a control means 7. In other words, the issuing of the alarm can be prevented when someone approaches to the television only for a short time.
