Abstract:
PURPOSE:To facilitate the selection of a cannel by storing a channel information corresponding to a desired program by means of an optional program identification information preliminarily, displaying plural already-registered program identification information on the screen at a time of selecting a channel, and thus enabling a user to select his or her desired program identification information. CONSTITUTION:The titled receiver is provided with a channel control part 1B consisting of a control part 11, a keyboard 12, a storage part 13 in which channel information, various data from the satellite, and picture data are stored, and a character generator 10 to form a display picture based on the designation by the controller 11. Based on an instruction through the keyboard 12, the control part 11 executes a processing program of channel registration and selection, and at this time, the control part 11 supplies picture data to the adder 7 of a reception part 1A based on the data in the storage part 13. As a result, this data can be superposed on a video signal and displayed, and an antenna control signal CNTANT and/or a channel control signal CNTCH can be transmitted to an antenna control part 2B and/or channel selection part 3 based on a processing program.
