PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a television tuner that can change a gain of a variable gain amplifier correspondingly to a level of a received signal even if receiving an FM broadcast signal. SOLUTION: In cases where a television signal is received, a gain of a variable gain amplifier 3 is controlled with an AGC voltage outputted from an AGC detection circuit 7 on the basis of a signal of an intermediate frequency band of the television signal and in cases where an FM broadcast signal is received, the gain of the variable gain amplifier 3 is controlled with a voltage detecting a signal with an audio intermediate frequency on the basis of the FM broadcast signal at the intermediate frequency band outputted from an intermediate frequency circuit 5.
