Title:
TEMPERATURE-COMPENSATED PIEZOELECTRIC OSCILLATOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2004356872
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a temperature-compensated piezoelectric oscillator which raises temperature sensitivity by constituting a temperature sensor on the outside of an IC chip, thereby simplifying a temperature compensation circuit to minimize a chip size even in an indirect temperature compensation system.

The indirect TCXO 10 comprises a temperature sensor 2 for detecting and converting an ambient temperature to a voltage change, a compensating voltage generator circuit 3 for generating a temperature compensating voltage based on the voltage change detected by the temperature sensor 2, and an oscillator circuit 4 having a variable-capacitance element 4 which varies capacitance based on a voltage generated by the compensating voltage generator circuit 3. They are integrated in an IC 1 except the temperature sensor 2, and a piezoelectric oscillator 6 having a piezoelectric element driven at a specified frequency from its terminal is connected thereto.
