Abstract:

PURPOSE: To manufacture sintered ore with superior characteristics by putting a fire resistant cylinder into a raw material layer on the pallet of a DL-type iron ore sintering machine and measuring the temp. of the layer in the perpendicular direction with a temp. detection terminal set in the cylinder to suitably control sintering.

CONSTITUTION: Refractory cylinder 15 is put into a raw material layer between sintering raw material feeder 4 and firing furnace 5 or just behind furnace 5. When cylinder 15 has passed through furnace 5, detection terminal lift 19 is mounted on the layer surfacae and set so that temp. detection terminal 16 is suspended in cylinder 15. Electromotor 17 is then driven successively or intermittently to drop terminal 16, and the temp. of an arbitrary portion in cylinder 15 is measured. Fluctuations from the standard level of terminal 16 are simultaneously detected with indicator 21 to correctly grasp the temp. distribution of the layer in the perpendicular direction. According to the results, pallet 2 moving speed is regulated, thereby manufacturing sintered ore having superior high temp. crushing strength with high productivity.
