Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the power consumption of equipment and to achieve retraction operation by inputting a low consumption power instruction signal and then controlling the functions of the equipment circuit of the electronic equipment, when the instruction signal is active. SOLUTION: A power control part 3 makes active a low consumption power instruction signal 12 being outputted to a function control part 4 in an electronic equipment to limit the functions of the equipment, when the temperature failure detection signal of a temperature detection circuit 2 becomes active and makes active a failure display instruction signal 13 being outputted to a failure display part 5. Then, the function control part 4 limits functions that can be operated of an equipment circuit 6 only to a specific function, such as the backup of a file. Also, the failure display part 5 displays a temperature failure. When the function control part 4 limits the functions of the equipment circuit 6, power to be supplied from a power supply circuit 7 in the equipment decreases, thus reducing the supply power from an AC adapter output part and the temperature of the AC adapter.
