PURPOSE: To simply remove a tensile member without adnissely influencing the anchor bearing force and preclude the cylinder left underground from consti tuting an obstacle for following works after removal of the anchor.

CONSTITUTION: A load bearing plate 2 is secured to the tips of a plurality of tighting members 1 and fixed to a bonding material within an anchor hole, and the other ends of these tightening members are tightened and fixed. In this tensile member for anchor to be removed, part of the strands 11 constituting the tightening members 1 is in advance broken to form a notch 14. The places on the tightening member where such notches are provided, are put in line approximately on the tight end side of the load bearing plate 2.
