Abstract:
PURPOSE: To insert a test probe into lines without shutting off a normal connection and inspect in any direction by forming a spring contact which can be bent from a strip having an inverted U-shape cut part between side parts. CONSTITUTION: An insulating material piercing electrical wire contact element 50 is provided which comprises a spring contact 62 formed with an inverted U-shape cut part between side parts 21 and 22 in parallel with each other. A connector body 12 is provided with electric wire reception grooves 27 and 28 in a line respectively, whereby five pairs of electric wires on one side matches another five pairs of electric wires on the opposite side. A test probe or the other connector can be inserted into a central groove provided between these lines opposed to each other, and then can be brought into contact with the pairs of electric wires. Moreover, according to the selection of the contact element 50, the probe or the other connector can be linked to the pairs of the connected electric wires either in series or parallel arrangement.
