To crimp a crimping terminal to a wire while reducing the stretched amount of an exposed core wire from the core wire-crimping portion of the crimping terminal as far as possible.
The terminal crimping device includes: a lower die 36 for crimping a core wire on which the core wire-crimping portion 12 of the crimping terminal 10 can be placed; an upper die 46 for crimping the core wire which is disposed face to face with the lower die 36 for crimping the core wire; a drive mechanism 50 to move these dies 36, 46 so as to come close to and part from each other; a position regulating portion 60 having a stopper 62 movably provided between a regulation position where it can abut on the tip of an exposed core wire 17a on the core wire-crimping portion 12 placed on the lower die 36 for crimping the core wire and an evacuation position where it is evacuated from the regulation position; and an approaching and parting action-transmitting member 70 to move the stopper 62 toward the evacuation position in accordance with approaching movement action by the drive mechanism 50, and to move the stopper 62 toward the regulation position in accordance with parting movement action by the drive mechanism 50.
