Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve high coding efficiency by enhancing the prediction accuracy, even if the pattern in a prediction block is a specific nonlinear pattern or a character.SOLUTION: As the prediction processing for generating a prediction image of color difference components in a prediction block, for the data processed by an arithmetic processing section, prediction processing between color components using prediction parameters between color components of the prediction block is performed, thus generating a prediction image of color difference components in a prediction block, a same determination flag indicating whether or not the prediction parameters between color components of the prediction block is same as the coded prediction parameters between color components is subjected to variable length coding, and if the prediction parameters between color components of the prediction block is different from the coded prediction parameters between color components, a coding section performs variable length coding of the prediction parameters between color components of the prediction block.
