Title:
TERMITE-REPELLING THERMOPLASTIC RESIN FOAM AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE SAME
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3792113
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a termite-repelling thermoplastic resin foam suitable as a heat insulator, underfloor heat insulator or the like without suffering insect damage by termites, wood-borers and the like, and to provide a method for producing the foam.
SOLUTION: This termite-repelling thermoplastic resin foam is obtained by melt-kneading a thermoplastic resin composition, a foaming agent suitable for foaming the composition and a termite-repelling agent thermally stable at the melt-kneading temperature and extrusion/expansion molding of the resultant mixture. The other objective method for producing the resin foam comprises above-mentioned melt kneading and extrusion/expansion molding steps.
