PURPOSE: To make the apparatus body usable in common as printed circuit board continuity tester without developing a specialized continuity tester for a connector carried board, by using adapters for a board carrying connectors for electric parts to correct the height of each of various connectors to be the same as the position of a test pad.
CONSTITUTION: The sum of heights 4ah of connectors 4a for electric parts and heights 3ah of adapters 3a is unified to be the total height H to eliminate variations in the connectors 4a. The pressure of probe pins 2 mounted to a test head 1 is kept constant while the position of a pad 5a of a printed circuit board 5 is made to match the position of a probe pin 2a with the test head 1 mounted thereto and that of a pad 3a1 on the adapter 3a with an adapter internal wire 3a2. Then, the probe pin 2a of the test head 1 is allowed to electrically contact the pad 3a1 on the adapter 3a with a continuity tester to be linked to a terminal 4a1 of the connector 4a through the internal wire 3a2 of the adapter 3a.
