PURPOSE: To obtain a thermal recording material forming an image excellent in light fastness by adding one or more compounds represented by a specific formula to a thermal recording layer.
CONSTITUTION: In a thermal recording material wherein a thermal recording layer containing a diazo compd. and a coupler reacting with the diazo compd. to develop a color as main components is provided on a support, one or more compounds represented by formula (wherein R1, R2 and R3 are respectively a hydrogen atom, an aliphatic group, an aryl group or a heterocyclic ring, R4, R5 and R6 are a hydrogen atom or an aliphatic group. R7, R8, R9, R10, R11 and R12 may be same or different and are a hydrogen atom, an aliphatic group, an aryl group, an alkoxy group, an aryloxy group, an alkylthio group, an arythio group, an acylamino group, a diacylamino group, a sulfoneamide group, an alkylamino group, an acyl group, an alkoxycarbonyl group, an alkyl group, an acyloxy group or a halogen atom) is added to the thermal recording layer.
