PURPOSE: To reduce the labour for stamping numeral by a method wherein a plate having necessary number can be made easily when necessary and, in addition, automatic change of even continuous numbers of three figures is realized with stamping action.
CONSTITUTION: A number train 4 is stamped on a resin ear mark 29 by heating a plurality of number rings 30, 40 and 50, which fit on a hollow shaft 9 having a ceramic heater therewithin. At the same time, on the number rings 30, 40 and 50, ratchet wheels 31, 41 and 51 and ratchet wheels 33 and 43 are respectively provided. With the pressing operation or an ear mark 29, the ratchet wheels are rotated with feed pawl 24. On the other hand, on a feed pawl 24b for rotating the number ring 40, an anchoring part 15 for limiting the movement of the upper figure side feed pawl is provided.
