Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink ribbon-separating apparatus which can prevent a transfer failure phenomenon resulting from a separation failure.
SOLUTION: In an ink ribbon-separating apparatus of a thermal transfer apparatus having a separation bar 6a, a central part C of the separation bar in a direction at right angles to a movement direction of an ink ribbon has a larger thickness than each end part S. In other words, the separation bar 6a is shaped like a bow projecting to the downstream side. The bow shape is formed with a ratio of 10-200 μm to a toner breadth 100 mm.
