Title:
THERMAL TRANSFER IMAGE RECEIVING SHEET
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH10193812
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To obtain a sufficiently dense clear image by containing a polyvinyl formal resin, a thermoplastic resin other than the polyvinyl formal resin and a mold-releasing agent in a dye receiving layer.

A thermal transfer image receiving sheet is made up of a base material sheet such as polyolefin synthetic paper, art paper, coated paper and cast coat paper, and a dye receiving layer provided on one side of the sheet. The dye receiving layer contains a polyvinyl alcohol resin or polyvinyl formal resin obtained by formalizing a hydroxyl group in a partially-saponified polyvinyl alcohol resin, a thermoplastic resin other than the polyvinyl formal resin, and a mold-releasing agent such as a liquid paraffin or wax. As a result, it is possible to obtain an image having a clear image density, excelling in light fastness, fusion resistance, and preservability.
