PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal transfer printing device capable of strongly adhering a used ink ribbon and preventing leakage of an afterimage.SOLUTION: A thermal transfer printing device includes: a supply section 3 which supplies an ink ribbon 5; a printing section 10 which thermally transfers ink on printing paper 7 using the ink ribbon supplied from the supply section; a transfer section 30 which transfers adhesive to the ink ribbon after the thermal transfer from a pressure-sensitive transfer adhesive tape in which an adhesive layer is provided on a peelable base material; and a recovery section 4 which winds and recovers the ink ribbon to which the adhesive is transferred.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
