Abstract:
To obtain a thermal transfer recording medium which forms an image rich in gradient and high in quality and is enough adhesive to a base material of paper, plastic, or the like.
On a support, a first resin component has a number average molecular weight of at least 16,000 and a glass transition temperature of Tg-80°C or below (Tg: the glass transition temperature of the heat-melting ink), and a second resin component has a number average molecular weight of 16,000 or below and a glass transition temperature of at least Tg-50°C. These two components are mixed in a weight ratio of 1/9-5/5 to form a heat-melting ink image receiving-adhesive layer.
