Abstract:

To provide an image forming material having a thermal transfer sheet which has an image forming layer in the shape of a uniform application surface and is improved in the transfer properties of an image formed in the image forming layer to an image receiving sheet, and/or the image receiving sheet which has an image receiving layer in the shape of a uniform application surface and is improved in the uniform transfer properties of the image formed in the image forming layer of the thermal transfer sheet from the thermal transfer sheet.

The image forming material includes the image receiving sheet having the image receiving layer on a support, and the thermal transfer sheet having at least a photothermal conversion layer and uses laser beams. A copolymer of specified three kinds of monomers is incorporated into at least one layer of the image receiving sheet and/or the thermal transfer sheet.
