The thermionic generator comprisies the thermionic generating device (10) wherein the emitter (11) for emitting thermions and the collector (12) for collecting these thermions are arranged with a predetermined separation gap between them, and a high temperature heat source connected to the emitter (11), In the generator, there are provided conducting wires (15) for electrically connecting the plurality of thermionic generating devices (10) in series, and heat conduction suppressors (16, 24) for suppressing the heat conduction from the emitter (11) side to the collector (12) side in the lead (15).
