In the thermoelectric conversion device, a thermoelectric transducer 10 is held between a metal heat absorption side thermal conductor 1 and a heat radiation side thermal conductor 4, and either endothermal side thermal conductor 1 or the heat radiation side thermal conductor 4 is disposed inside a synthetic resin frame body 5. The frame body 5 is integrally insert molded on the outer periphery of the thermal conductor 1. In the joining area of the thermal conductor 1 and the frame body 5, a part of metal constituting the thermal conductor 1 and a part of synthetic resin constituting the frame body 5 diffuse mutually to form a metal-synthetic resin composite layer 9.
