Title:
THERMOELECTRIC CONVERSION ELEMENT AND ITS MANUFACTURE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2001068746
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a thermoelectric conversion element which is small in size and thickness and provided with thermoelectric material elements which can be increased in number per unit area.

A thermoelectric conversion element is manufactured through the following processes: a first process where a photosensitive resin pattern is formed on boards 1 and 2 which are formed of insulting material whose surface is partially or all formed of metal material, a second process where the boards are plated in a plating electrolyte making them serve as electrodes and a current flow through them, and patterned N-type, P-type thermoelectric material elements with prescribed thickness and electrode junction layers 7 and 8 are formed, a third process where photosensitive resin applied to the boards are dissolved, a fourth process where metal materials on the boards are partially or all removed, a fifth process where the board and the other board of insulating material whose surface is partially or all formed of metal material are joined together by making their electrode junction layers confront each other, and a sixth process where the boards are thermally treated.
