To provide a thermoplastic elastomer composition that retains the flexibility and elastic recovery intrinsically unique to ethylene-α-olefin copolymer, shows excellent melt-moldability with no occurrence of necking, cracking or agglutination and has excellent appearance, blocking resistance, strength and low residual strain, and moldings therefrom.
This thermoplastic elastomer composition comprises (a) an ethylene-α-olefin copolymer and (b) a thermoplastic polyurethane that satisfies the following requirements: (1) this thermoplastic polyurethane is prepared by reaction of a polyester diol having a number-average molecular weight of 1,500-5,000 with an organic isocyanate and a chain extender; (2) the content of nitrogen atoms is ≥2.6 wt.%; (3) the endothermic peaks are in the temperature range from 200-220°C; (4) the crystallization enthalpy (ΔH) is 2-15 J/g in the temperature range of 200-220°C according to DSC; at a weight ratio a/b of 70/30-90/10.
