To provide a thermoplastic resin composition excellent in mechanical properties (such as impact strength) and in functions (such as high stiffness, lightweightness, high light reflecting properties, and light screening properties) necessary for a thin-walled light reflecting element; and a molded article made thereof.
The resin composition comprises an aromatic polycarbonate, a rubbery copolymer prepared by copolymerizing with an acrylic rubber substrate and/or an olefin rubber substrate at least one monomer copolymerizable with the rubbers, a flaky and/or fibrous inorganic filler having a crystal structure, and titanium dioxide. The composition has such characteristics that the index f/ρ3 (wherein ρ is a true density (g/cm3); and f (MPa) is a flexural modulus) of flexural stiffness is 1,100-2,000; the minimum value of light reflectance of a 2-mm thick smooth platy molded article in a wavelength range of 450-850 nm is 80% or higher; and the total light transmittance of a 1-mm thick platy molded article is 1% or lower.
