PURPOSE: To obtain a thermosensitive transfer recording medium which gives high strength to printed matter by adding a specific thermoplastic elastomer as a constituent component of a heat-melting transfer layer.

CONSTITUTION: Thermoplastic elastomer is added to a heat-melting transfer layer. Consequently, rubber elasticity is provided to a printed part after thermal printing and said part can be solidified. The applicable thermoplastic elastomers are styrene-butadiene block copolymer, styrene-isoprene block copolymer, styrene-isobutylene copolymer, etc. The preferable styrene content is at most 50%. In addition, in order to improve coagulation strength and sharpen the range of melting temperature for satisfactory results, aromatic petroresin or aromatic hydrocarbon resin should be added.
